Work -based learning experiences should be seen as part of a larger process of career development for all students. Through work based learning experiences, students should learn about various career areas, try different work styles, find out what type of work they enjoy, how they learn in a job setting, and find out what natural supports are available and help school systems improve post-school outcomes for students. The purpose of this article is to define and discuss how elements of work-based learning experiences can be infused in the general curriculum for all students, including students with disabilities.
